Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how recevo.io ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It is provided in addition to, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (the "Cookie Law"), the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the GDPR/UK GDPR, we ask for your consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the controls described below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device and store information about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you are logged in.
We also use similar technologies such as the browser's localStorage to remember your cookie preferences. Where this Policy refers to "cookies", it covers these similar technologies as well.
How we use cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site running and to understand how it is used so we can improve it. We do not sell personal data and we do not use cookies for cross-site advertising.
Cookies are split into two categories: strictly necessary cookies, which do not require consent, and analytics cookies, which only run after you have given your consent.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering a working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). All other cookies, including analytics, are only set after you provide consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Regulation 6 PECR).
Until you make a choice in the cookie banner, we instruct Google Analytics to run in "consent denied" mode using Google Consent Mode v2. No analytics cookies are written to your device in that state.
Managing your preferences
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner is shown at the bottom of the page. You can choose to accept all cookies or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage so we don't have to ask again on every visit.
To change or withdraw your consent later, clear your site data for recevo.io in your browser settings (or delete the localStorage entry named "recevo.cookie-consent"). The banner will reappear on your next visit so you can make a new choice.
You can also block or delete cookies directly through your browser. Most browsers let you do this from their privacy or security settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
